Li Leshi, the first Chinese woman to summit Mount Qomolangma, the highest mountain in the world, and step on both the North and South poles. She began her lonely explorations in 1970, driven by her childhood dream of traveling all over the world. In 1985, she joined China Antarctic Expeditions, opening a new chapter of her life in a world of snow and ice. These unique trips have impressed upon her the close relationship between mankind and nature. They have also made her braver in her exploration of nature and her efforts to protect it.
